Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal on Tuesday teased the upcoming Ola electric car via a Twitter post. This came right after Ola EV raised $200 million in fresh funding at $5 billion valuation.Aggarwal's tweet features a rendering of a hatchback electric car with the Ola logo at the front. Responding to a tweet, Aggarwal wrote on Monday that the person who bought a Tata Nexon EV and an Ola S1 e-scooter would then purchase an Ola electric car. “Next car replacement should be the Ola electric car,” wrote Aggarwal.Meanwhile, more information about the final EV vehicle and its launch date is needed. It's worth noting that last year, the worldwide ridesharing company launched itself in the EV manufacturing market. Ola Electric announced earlier this month that it is special-ordering nine customised Ola S1 Pro scooters for the Dutch Embassy.Like the Ola Electric scooters, the Ola electric automobile might potentially share its battery pack, motors, and other components with an existing EV.The Ola electric car would most likely be manufactured in Tamil Nadu at the EV maker's facilities. This plant, which employs over 10,000 women, is currently advertised as the world's largest electric scooter manufacturing facility. The success of the Ola Electric scooters has prompted Bhavish Aggarwal to consider entering the electric car market as well. Ola's first electric car, according to Bhavish Aggarwal, will be ready in 2023, and the project will be funded by Japan's Softbank Group.
